I need someone to help me answering the Exercises for Chapter 3

Just these questions for chapter 3

depending on the book's explanation, and the uploaded data.

This exercise utilizes the data set schools-a.sav, which can be downloaded from this website:

1. You are interested in investigating if being above or below the median income (medloinc) impacts ACT means (act94) for schools. Complete the necessary steps to examine univariate grouped data in order to respond to the questions below. Although deletions and/or transformations may be implied from your examination, all steps will examine original variables.

a. How many participants have missing values for medloinc and act94?

b. Is there a severe split in frequencies between groups?

c. What are the cutoff values for outliers in each group?

d. Which ou

Thinking of the many variables tracked by hospitals and doctors' offices, confidence intervals could be created for population parameters (such as means or proportions) that were calculated from many of them. Choose a topic of study in the nursing field that is tracked (or that you would like to see tracked). Discuss the variable and parameter (mean or proportion) you chose, and explain why you would use these to create an interval that captures the true value of the parameter of patients with 95% confidence.

Consider the following:

How would changing the confidence interval to 90% or 99% affect the study? Which of these values (90%, 95%, or 99%) would best suit the confidence level according to the type of study chosen? How might the study findings be presented to those in charge in an attempt to affect change at the workplace?

The Six Sigma Certification

The paper intends to explore the types of Six Sigma certifications and how this certification would assist and train a Human Resources Manager in better handle hiring talent, perfect their paperwork and reimbursement processes, improve upon calculating over time and help the company hire the best possible talent for their employment needs as well as retain employees in order to reduce waste, in this case employee loss and turnover in Healthcare setting.

Write:

1. Types of Six Sigma certification (White, Yellow, Green belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Champions).

2. Research which and why this certification fits for Human resources manager who would lead the project in the company. Green belt certification would train and certify the Human Resources Manager who would directly participate in Six Sigma projects. The training develops enhanced problem-solving skills and teaches participants to apply statistica

This week, you have read about hypothesis testing and will now apply this knowledge by writing a paper that addresses the following:

Provide an example of a hypothesis where a one-tailed hypothesis test would be used.

Provide an example of a hypothesis where a two-tailed hypothesis test would be used.

If a researcher has set alpha at 0.05 for a two-tailed hypothesis test, what is the p-value required to reject the null hypothesis?

A researcher has set alpha at 0.05. When the researcher analyzes the data from the experiment using a software program, she obtains a p-value equal to 0.932. Based on this p-value, should the researcher reject the null hypothesis or fail to reject the null hypothesis? Please explain your answer.

A researcher has set alpha at 0.01. When the researcher analyzes the data from the experiment using a software program, he obtains a p-value equal to 0.04. Based on this p-value,

1) In the research paper, you will conduct a study using a LOGISTIC REGRESSION statistical technique. You will need to obtain the data necessary to conduct the study.

*SPSS Software is REQUIRED

2) The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research at the University of Michigan maintains a variety of datasets on criminal justice and other topics. These datasets are in SPSS format.

3) Should be organized in the following sections: abstract, background, data, results, conclusion, and references.

Just remember that while published articles have tables and figures integrated into the text of the manuscript, you submit a manuscript to a journal with the tables and figures after the references. Tables are first and then figures. You place (Insert Table 1 about here) in the manuscript to alert the editor where the table sho

1. Explain how Monte Carlo simulation is used in the real world. Provide a specific example from your own line of work, or a line of work that you find particularly interesting.

2. Identify that parts or aspects of Monte Carlo simulation processes that you have found to be particularly challenging. Describe why you believe that they are challenging and provide remedies to simplify those aspects.

Having read about various disciplinary methods and written a literature review accounting for relevant secondary sources, reflect upon and respond to the following:

What disciplines have you identified as most relevant to your research question?

What methods are typically valued or emphasized in these disciplines?

Are any of these methods relevant or useful to your research project? Explain.

Do you have any training or familiarity with the methods you see as relevant to your work? Explain.

What method(s) are you most likely to employ for this project?

Remember: you should consider the timeframe for our course, access to sources, and familiarity with quantitative and qualitative strategies

What steps do you need to take to ensure you can collect the data/evidence necessary for your project?

What is your timeline for data/evidence collection? (keep in mind that you should start analyzing your primary data during week 5).

This assignment has two parts, which will be submitted in one document.

For this task, you will calculate the mean, median, and mode for a fictitious data set. These data represent the results of a fictitious study, which investigates whether a new drug (Drug A) is more effective than a placebo (i.e., an inactive substance) in the treatment of depression. The researcher is also interested in whether the effects of the drug varies by age so participants between the ages of 18-39 years were recruited (the younger adult group), and participants between the ages of 60-80 years were recruited (the older adult group). Participants were randomly assigned to either the placebo group or to the drug group (Drug A). All participants were first screened to ensure they met the criteria for depression. After 2 months of taking either the placebo or Drug A, participants returned to the lab and completed a measure of depressive symptomology called the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II).

Complete an article analysis and ethics evaluation of the research using the "Article Analysis and Evaluation of Research Ethics" template. (see template attached). While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

You are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite.

Article evaluation (DA & Logistic Regression article evaluation) has the purpose to expose to how to write and reports each statistical technique. The evaluation (2 pages) must covered the following issues:

a. Justification for the use of the technique.

b. Evidence of data screening and assumptions tested.

c. Quality of the results presentation with complete information needed to evaluate the result.

d. Discussion of results supported by the information offered.

e. Suggestions for improving the report.

In the attachment, the DA & Logistic Regression article to be evaluated.
