To prepare for this Final Project Milestone:
Review the Final Project Overview located in Week 1.
The assignment:
Compose a 5- to 10-page paper and 10- to 15-slide PowerPoint presentation that include the following:
•Important characteristics about the historical background of your chosen country
•The country’s major natural resources, and how the geography and geology of the country influenced the availability of resources to the people living in the region
•The main mode of livelihood for people in the region, and, if it has changed, how it has changed over time
•How the current practices and patterns of living, working, and consuming resources impact both the local and global environments
•The most pressing environmental issues facing the country
•The country’s current perspective on these issues, including any laws that are in place to address the problems or any proposed solutions to the problems
•The environmental, social, or economic challenges that the country might face in the future
Your paper should be formatted as follows:
•This paper should be at least 5 pages, be written in paragraph form (not numbered or bulleted responses), and be long enough to include all the necessary information in a detailed and complete manner.
•Use 10 or 12 point Times New Roman, Times, Arial, or another standard font.
•Double-space the text, selecting standard-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches) with 1-inch margins on all sides.
•Number the pages.
Your PowerPoint presentation should be formatted as follows:
•Create 10–15 slides that meet the criteria of the paper as well as present the material in an engaging and organized way.
You will be graded on:
•Writing style
•Technical aspects (e.g., grammar and spelling)
•Content
•Completeness
•Integration of the material learned in the course with the information presented for your selected country.
•How well the material is organized, summarized and presented as well as its content and style
