You will be writing a 2,000-word research essay on American history after 1877. You will use one of your monographs as one of your sources: Freedom Struggles or Integrating Women into the Astronaut Corps. With that in mind, write a research question based on one of the above themes. • How have women contributed to a particular field of STEM? (choose engineering, aeronautics, biology, geology, mathematics, etc.) 
• What is the legacy of Henrietta Lacks? 
• What was the role of government in regard to women at NASA? 
• How did sexism contribute to women being excluded from NASA? 
• How did the desegregation of schools affect medical education for people of color? 

CONSTRUCT A BIBLIOGRAPHY
