Please note: the Final Paper is due the last day of class. Because the course ends on this day, no late submissions will be accepted for a grade. Do not wait until the last minute to try to submit this, as any issues with technology (Internet is down at your house, your final version didn’t save correctly, you can’t access Canvas, etc.) will not be accepted as excuses. If you do not submit your paper on time, you will receive a 0, and this is a significant portion of your grade for the course. MBA 607 includes a Final Paper that covers the cumulative course content throughout our four modules. Using content from the three chapters of the textbook, your HR practitioner interview, and your other independent research, describe in detail what you have learned about:

• legally required and strategic components of total rewards
• the impact of base pay and variable pay on employee performance
• how pay-for-performance, sales incentives, and executive compensation support organizational strategy
• various types of employee benefits, including health, retirement, and wellness plans

Think of this assignment as a summary of the important lessons of the course, as if you were writing a mini-textbook. This can also be a good source of reference material for you as you continue in your education and your career, so be sure that you are writing this in such a way as to be a useful resource in the future.
